Community Crochet Circle, 2009. Eighty-six people participated in hand-crocheting ordinary plastic sheeting into large-scale sculptures over a one-month period.  Regular “Community Crochet Circle” hours offered the opportunity to learn to crochet or to teach others.  Each participant contributed a crocheted form to the project, and collaborators assembled these into larger forms, totems, and the finished installation.
